We´ve had some great fun with the last two weeks- we had our Active Week, Art week and Biodiversity Week where the local plants and wildlife were explored and many boys have developed gardening green fingers. One boy was missing school so much he made his own school with Lego! Finally we had our bakeoff and Mr. Reale has just announced that Charlie from Ms. Tynan´s class is the winner with his “Social Distancing” Cake!! Well done everyone!
Wow, wow, wow what a week of fun and challenges that was!! Massive congratulations to all the boys that took part in our challenges ‘Try and beat the teacher’ and of course to our wonderful teachers who set the challenges.
Boys, you all did incredibly well. The amount of skill and talent in St Joseph’s is second to none. Everyone who sent in a video or a photo of themselves doing a challenge will be put into a draw for a prize in September. Best of luck to all of you.
Make sure to keep the active levels up over the summer. You are all champions…….next stop ‘The Olympics’!!!
On Tuesday evening we bade farewell to the Class of 2020. It was strange not to be able to say goodbye in person, but we’ll hopefully see you all again when it’s safe to do so!
Mr. O Flynn & Adam from 5th class were interviewed yesterday on the Ray D´Arcy show on RTE Radio. They tell a great story of how their class supported disabled artist Alison Lapper when her son died last year.
Our two weeks of the Daily Exercise Challenge finished, and the results were as follows (Apologies for the late results!)
1st Place 4th classes
2nd Place 3rd classes
3rd Place 1st classes.
