Thar aon rud eile, cuir am ar leataobh gach lá don spraoi! We love to make time for fun each day! Seachtain na Gaeilge has provided us with a chance to experience our first live music event together in a long long time. We had a ball! Mile buíochas to our musicians and to our wonderful dancer – we were blown away with their performance.
What a delightful performance by our senior infant boys. In music lesson today, they were able to memorise the words and learn how to sing Pink’s song ‘Cover me in Sunshine’. The boys sang so beautifully and with such emotion. They are a very talented group and we look forward to their next performance. Great voices, great timing and great actions – we loved it!
Our boys enjoy performing with no pressure – just feel good vibes.
Ms.Murphy’s and Bean Uí Loingsigh’s classes have recorded some fantastic Christmas carols for us all to enjoy. Mr. O’Flynn’s class performed a beautiful Christmas poem.
Over a hundred boys from the school wowed a huge audience last night at Córfhéile in the National Basketball Arena. Ms. Maher, Ms. Tynan and Ms. Rooney were delighted with the beautiful performances of their classes. Our special thanks to Ms. Maher who is one of the main organisers of the event which goes on all week with hundreds of schools involved. Click for more photos. Judge’s report.
Well done to all the boys, led by Ms. Maher and Ms. O’Riordan, who performed so well at Córfhéile in Tallaght last Thursday.
Last week we celebrated ‘All things musical’.
All of the boys had extra music classes during the week. Team teaching with the aid of Ms. Harte, Ms. Maher, Ms. Murphy and Ms O’ Donoghue enabled the boys to have plenty of fun with dance, listening and responding, composing, playing melodies with accompaniments and drumming.
We were also fortunate in securing a booking with the renowned string quartet ‘Graffiti Classics’ and the boys of Senior Infants, First, Third and Sixth learned a lot about classical music in a dynamic and highly entertaining way. Here we can see Ms. Murphy’s class enjoying musical storytime and Ms. Maher’s on percussion.
Our thanks to to the Garda Band who visited the school on Friday and provided us with some great pre-Halloween entertainment.
