The boys in St. Joseph’s met Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Paul O’Connell at the launch of the IRFU / Aldi ‘Play Rugby’ Programme. The aim is encourage children to exercise and eat healthily. The programme hopes to increase the number of children participating in the initiative to 100,000 by 2018.
Welcome back to the pupils, teachers and parents of St. Joseph’s
We were presented with the Green Flag for our work in GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP – LITTER & WASTE (our sixth flag) on Tuesday, May 24. Oscar and Ethan attended the ceremony in The Helix, accompanied by Ms. Maher and Mr. Concannon. Of course, awards like this are only possible as a result of the hard work and enthusiasm shown by the Green Team and by the pupils and teachers of St. Joseph’s. Well done to all concerned.
The Green Committee and Mr. Concannon have worked tirelessly over the past two years to ensure that St. Joseph’s retains our Green School status. Their hard work was recognised by Green Schools Ireland when St. Joseph’s was awarded yet another green flag. The new flag was officially raised today by Mr. Concannon, the Green Committee and Ms. McCabe.
The Under 10 and the Under 11 Relay Teams won in Santry to round off a fantastic week for athletes in our school. Congratulations boys on this wonderful achievement and many thanks to Mr. Ring and Melina for all the time and effort he put into preparing them. Photos click here.
