We hosted our annual Art Exhibition on Thursday. Every pupil submitted an art piece for the exhibition and got a chance to come down to the school hall to see all the artistic pieces in a wonderful setting. The boys were impressed with how their art looked when on display and loved looking at the other art work.
The September 2022 Junior Infant parent evening was held in the hall and the new parents were in awe of the creativity of all our boys.
Truth be told, so are we! Well done to all the young artists, and to all who helped set up the displays and prepared the hall for the exhibition. A job well done – thank you!
Our junior and senior infants have kicked off our Sport’s day, week and month events with a football blitz of coaching and games in the VEC grounds. The football fun was organised by our GAA coach Kevin from Templeogue Synge St, who coaches our boys every Friday in school. Our 6th class prefects helped to bring the boys safely to the pitches and to referee the matches ensuring everyone had fun! Thanks to the VEC for allowing us to use their wonderful grounds. The rain kept away and the boys loved playing on a carpet of green grass.
3rd and 4th class pupils had great fun and learned new skills at the new Padel tennis courts in Bushy Park. Thank you Naomi from the Padel Federation of Ireland for working with our boys. They had great fun.

Huge congrats to Bobby Quirke and Jamie Keating on getting their prize winning ball wall design painted by graffiti artist Joanne Murphy onto our local Faugh’s Hurling Club ball wall. What a fabulous design!
Congratulation to the boys from 2nd and 3rd class and the pupils from Stratford N.S. who celebrated their First Holy Communion at the weekend in St Joseph’s Church. It was a lovely shared community event with parents, children, teachers and the whole parish working together to make it a special day for the children.
We had a fun party in the Parish Hall after the ceremony, hosted by our parents (and photographs were taken of all who wanted to share in the celebration on Monday and Tuesday. Thanks to all who were involved in making lovely school memories for us all!
Congratulations to the boys from Ms Molloy’s fifth class for receiving an award from Sam’s Business Bus – Driving Expectations.
The boys learned about entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship. They learned how to write both a mission statement and a vision statement for a business, how to set out a business model, look at a budget and how to set goals using the SMART acronym: (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, timed).
Well done to the boys and we look forward to reading about all your entrepreneurial ideas in the Business Post in the years to come.

Our 6th classes had visits from Jess, Dan and Tiffany from UCC Geology department to speak about fossils and paleontology. They were treated to puppets, experiments, presentations, excavations, art and a spin the wheel of extinction. These activities covered topics from evolution, archaeology, paleontology, dinosaurs, Irish fossils and extinction. They also entered a fossil art competition. We look forward having them again!

Our Hurling season kicks off today and we wish the boys lots of fun and wins if possible. Thanks to NRB Engineering for sponsoring their new jerseys.
Well done to all the boys, especially Ms. Molloy’s class, who represented the school so well at today’s DCC cross country event in Sundrive Park. Josh won the 6th class race and we had several medalists in the other races.
