As both my boys come to the end of their time in Joeys, I can
say, hand on heart, that I do not regret one single minute of
the time I spent volunteering on the Parents Association.
I could write pages on how much the boys benefit from the
work the PA do but I could also write pages on how much I
benefitted personally from it. So many fond memories, so
many friendships forged for life.
The look on my boys faces when they saw me in the school
or at a fundraising event, a look of pure joy, happiness and
pride, that was priceless.
I know we live in a world of busy lives and schedules but I
would urge you, at some stage of your son’s time in Joeys,
to join the PA and volunteer. I guarantee, 100%, you won’t
regret it. You are not just joining a Parents Association you
become an active member in the Joeys Community, a
Community that can only survive when, YOU, the Parents
keep it afloat.
