Congratulations to Anton, from Ms. Larmer’s 4th class who took part in an art competition ‘Art of Pathology’, run by the Royal College of Pathologists in London. The competition is an international competition and is run as a public engagement endeavour to increase awareness of the pathology specialties in Medicine. The theme this year was “Pathologists and Patients.” There were entries and winners from Australia, Egypt, the UK, the USA, and many more countries. Anton was the only Irish winner!
The judges scored his drawing entitled ‘The Bridge of Pathology’ very highly and he was awarded runner-up in the under-11 category. He has won some prize money, £250, for himself and also for his school.
