The school senior football teams have returned to training and on Thursday we played our first match in two years against a very strong St. Pius team. There will be a short season of matches over the next few weeks and we are hoping hurling and athletics will resume after Easter.
It was great to get back out on the pitch this week with the schools Gaelic football teams. Boys from both 6th classes braved the elements this week in Terenure College. Ms. Byrne, Mr. O’Doherty, Mr. O’Brien, Ms Hahessy and Mr. Kelly will coach the teams this year, while Mr. Ring will oversee all proceedings. We are hoping for a fun filled season where the boys can get back to competitive games and a bit of normality. The GAA teams are open to all boys in sixth class at the moment. All boys in sixth class are more than welcome to get involved and play a few games this year. If anyone wants to join, please speak to any of the coaches or Mr. Ring.
