Well done all all our pupils from 4th to 6th class who participated in the Intel Mini Scientist Competition.
Our judges, Michael and Jack from Intel, were very impressed with the boys’ investigations and with their presentation skills too. They took time with each group, listening to their projects and asking them questions about their scientific methods.
5 winning teams were announced, one from each class and then one overall winning team which will represent the school in the next stage of the competition.
The school’s overall winning project was called ‘How does liquid affect bones?’ The team members are Daniel McCarthy, Max Moylan, Ciaran O’Riordan and Lucas Dalton. These pupils can continue to finesse their project until January, when the next stage will happen.
Congratulations to all the boys who took part, we eagerly await news of how our boys get on in the next round of the competition.
