St. Josephs BNS Terenure

St Joseph’s BNS Parents’ Association

Be Part of Our School Community!

Every parent or guardian of a child in St. Joseph’s BNS is automatically a member of the Parents’ Association and warmly invited to attend our meetings, held every 4–6 weeks either in the school or online throughout the school year.

Getting involved is a great way to:

  • Understand how the school runs
  • Support your child’s education – research shows parental involvement improves outcomes!
  • Meet new people and make lasting friendships

For more information about the role of a Parents’ Association, visit the National Parents Council website: Parents’ Associations | National Parents Council

Our committee includes a chairperson, secretary, treasurer, and at least one representative from each class. Together, we strive to foster a strong sense of community and organize fundraising events that directly benefit our boy’s day to day school experience.  Some of our annual activities include:

Sept: AGM & new parents welcome evening

Oct/Nov: Organising class photos & Christmas cards

Dec: Christmas cake & pre-loved uniform sale

Jan: Confirmation blazers & 6th class hoodies

Feb: Social Evening

Mar: Confirmation Tea

Apr: Communion Blazers

May: Communion Party

Jun: Summer Cake Sale

Ad hoc: Guest speakers on various topics of interest to parents

Many of these events help to fundraise for improved resources and opportunities for our children. If you are unable to be part of the committee, we’d still love your help – big or small!   Life is busy, but the rewards of getting involved are huge.

Interested? Reach out to your class representative – We’d love to hear from you!
