Who We Are
Our Parent Association is the structure through which our parents/guardians work together for the best possible education for our children.
It is a support for all parents in the school. Each class has a parent representative who can be contacted via WhatsApp.
Our Parent Association often invites speakers to address the parents on issues which are topical or relevant, such as Accord.
We organise the after-Communion gathering in the Parish Hall, cake sales, pre-loved uniform sales, Bags2School, 6th Class Farewell Hoodies, Christmas Card fundraisers to name but a few.
The Parent Association is not a forum for complaint against either an individual teacher or parent. The Complaints Procedure is the mechanism for this.
The Parent Association alternates their meetings between ‘in person’ gatherings in the school and virtually via online meetings.
Please contact your class rep if you have any questions about the P.A.
Volunteers and fundraising ideas are always welcome and please contact your class rep with your suggestions.
You are welcome to join the PA at any time also.
St. Joseph’s Parent Association
Our busy PA braved the cold at the end of April to collect lots of bags of pre-loved clothes and toys.
They started at 8.00am gathering bags and by 11.00am, the entrance to the Parish Hall was jammed!
645.5 Kg of clothes/shoes/toys were collected. This raised €258.20 for our school, which will go a long way towards paying for the school’s texting service and their dance specialism, provided by Alan of DizzyFootwork.
Thank you to everyone who donated.
Cake Sale, Pre-Loved Uniform Sale & Giant Raffle
On Friday, 23rd June the PA hosted its annual Pre-Loved uniform sale, Raffle and Cake Sale.
Everybody experienced a warm welcome, delicious aromas and lots of tasty treats. Our incoming junior infants got to meet some of the parents and boys in our school and our outgoing 6th class boys looked very well in their royal blue hoodies. Thank you to all the parents who baked up a storm this year.
