St. Joseph’s boys certainly enjoy their Arts and Cultural activities. From 5th class “Thrillers” in October, Infants enjoying music day, drumming sessions for all to ‘An Ceilí Mór’ in March.
This school year we have also enjoyed lively musical entertainment from the Garda Band at Christmas and a grúpa tradisiúna for St. Patrick’s festival.
The boys from 4th class sang and our early morning ‘Offbeat Club’ played at the Cór Fhéile na Scoileanna. Our senior classes have been visiting the Book of Kells in Trinity College, before it closes for a few years.
One of our wonderful quiz teams got through the local stage of the Credit Union Schools Quiz only to be pipped at the post in the Chapter stage. Well done to all involved.
We even had a visit from the Japanese Consulate in response to letters written by Mr. O’Flynn’s/Mr. ÓRiain’s class after they wrote to the embassy congratulating the Japanese nation for their wonderful display of respect during the World Cup.
Here are some photos and videos of what has been happening.
